Hi Wim,

I returned well at home at 22:40. The total time has been 8:10 h - exactly the same as the way to Dronten. But instead via Venlo/Nijmegen/Arnhem I returned via Zulphen/Emmerich/Xanten, 10 km more, less humps, more traffic on the fietspads.

This 520 km trip has been the longest one I did by Quest. But you have sent my before a photo of this famous cap, giving me additional motivation ;-)

In reality the cap is a very professional part with a lot of details showing a lot of practical research & development.

- The visier is easy to adjust in a safe way during riding and allows fresh air around the head - also riding at summer temperatures in the sun like yesterday afternoon.

- The reflecting light is reduced by black areas at the air stream deflector and the dimmed surface of the cover.

- The fastening on the Quest by velcro tapes is easy, foam distance pieces assure stable and low noise position without scratching the Quest.
Tightly fixed there was some noise from the velcros but I did not any fine tuning as I want to use the daylight by riding.

- Surely you hear some more sounds from the Quest and I remembered that I have forgotten to please Theo for some drops of oil for the chain. And also general tuning of the drivetrain is still on my to do list.

- The pure carbon finish looks great. I have chosen a white finish for lower heat absorption in the sun and better visibility in the rain.
Your idea with the clear varnish stripes looks great.

Up to now the main motivation for me is the protection from rainy weather - a rain cap instead of race cap ;-) But we will see ...

Many thank's for your fine work Wim & Jan

Cu - Hajo

Hoi Wim,

Paul Dijs

Hi Paul,
Groeten,
Wim
